U8 Program

Cocalico Youth Soccer Club’s Under-8 (1st & 2nd grade) Program

Cocalico Youth Soccer Club's U8 Program provides kids in 1st and 2nd grades the opportunity to develop their skills in a progressive program.  This program teaches the fundamentals and builds on them as players progress through the Club's age groups.

Kids will play small-sided games to demonstrate their newly-learned skills. At this age, the focus is on having fun and developing fundamental ball skills, not on the competitive aspects of the game.

Games are held on Saturdays from 9:30-10:30 a.m. or 10:45-11:45 a.m. at Cocalico soccer fields A, B or C.  A one-hour weeknight practice is held on the day selected by the volunteer parent coach (a great way to select your child’s practice night is to become a volunteer coach – training and materials are provided).  Kids will need a size 3 soccer ball, shin guards and water.  Uniforms to be purchased separate from the registration fee.  Uniform information to be announced at a later date.
