Tryout Schedule

Location: CYSC Soccer Fields

Boys Tryouts

• April 13
  
  • U9–U10: 5:30–6:30 PM
  • U11–U13: 6:30–7:30 PM
• April 21
  
  • U9–U10: 5:30–6:30 PM
  • U11–U13: 6:30–7:30 PM

Girls Tryouts

• April 14
  
  • U9–U10: 5:30–6:30 PM
  • U11–U13: 6:30–7:30 PM
• April 20
  
  • U9–U10: 5:30–6:30 PM
  • U11–U13: 6:30–7:30 PM

Check-in times:

• U9–U10: arrive by 5:00 PM
• U11–U13: arrive by 6:00 PM

Tryout Expectations

• Players must attend at least one tryout date
• Attending both sessions is strongly encouraged
• Players must:
  
  • Be registered in GotSport
  • Arrive early for check-in
  • Bring a properly inflated soccer ball and water
• Players will try out with their age group on Night 1

Important Change – Age Group Structure

Starting Fall 2026, US Soccer is moving back to grade-based age groups.

• Age groups will align with school grade level
• Cutoff range: August 1 – July 31
• Example:
  
  • U9 = Birthdates Aug 1, 2017 – July 31, 2018 (typically 3rd grade)

• U12 – Rus Hohl

Boys

• U9 – Nick Hower
• U10 – Tom Ossman
• U11 – Chrystal Koch
• U12 – Chris Daly

Playing Up an Age Group

• Must be recommended by a CYSC coach
• Must attend both tryout dates
• Tryout process:
  
  1. Day 1 → natural age group
  2. Day 2 → older age group
• Final decision is made by the CYSC Board

Additional Notes

• Teams may be adjusted based on registration numbers and evaluations
• Evaluations include CYSC coaches and independent evaluators
• All tryout decisions are final
• No team changes without Board approval
